1. Quick & Painless Portrait Sittings
I specialize in photographing non-models, and most of my clients tell me they hate having their photo taken. They also invariably thank me afterward for making it "painless", "easy", and even "fun".
The mind can focus on only thing at a time, and for many people it's better if that thing is not the fact that they're being photographed. My conversational style helps put people at ease and look relaxed at the moment the shutter is released.
You may be surprised when your session is over, and because I shoot a lot of photos very quickly, you'll have plenty of choices for your corporate portrait.
2. Classic, Natural Poses and Flattering Lighting Ensure a Dignified Look
I studied "corrective" posing and lighting with masters in the PPA (the largest non-profit photographer's association) many years ago, and have been refining and adding to them ever since.
I employ large lightboxes that cast soft shadows and minimize shine, and I move them according to each person's individual features. Used judiciously, shadows can make a wide face appear narrower, a crooked nose straighter, and they can help hide a double chin.
Posing should look natural and comfortable, but most people need a little coaching in order to look their best. Just a slight turn of the head in the right direction can make asymmetrical faces look less so, hooked noses less noticeable.
But expression is the most important thing in a business portrait, which is why I keep my subjects engaged in conversation while coaxing them into flattering positions and moving my lights into the ideal positions.
3. Every Selected Portrait is Expertly Retouched!
What my lighting and posing can't fix, retouching can.
I start with very sharp images so I have plenty of detail to work with, but this can look harsh in the previews, so most finished portraits have at least some diffusion applied. And that's just the beginning. We do all of the following on every selected portrait that needs it:
- remove pimples, cold sores, and other temporary blemishes
- reduce (or remove on request) wrinkles and creases, scars and moles
- minimize or eliminate flyaway hair
- reduce bags and/or dark circles under the eyes
- minimize shine
- fill in lipstick
- whiten teeth and eyes
- sharpen eyes and enhance color
- minimize or eliminate double chin

Some alterations are normally kept subtle, but we're happy to do all of the above to whatever degree you wish, at no extra charge. Additional modifications to your image are available at $75/hour. We can even take off weight, add color to gray hair, and straighten a crooked nose on request.
4. Exquisite Technical Image Quality
My studio embraced the digital revolution in 2001. I have been working with Photoshop almost every day since. I understand color management, the advantages of RAW files, and other issues about which many photographers remain completely ignorant, but which are essential for delivering hassle-free, high quality images that meet every customer's needs.
My hardware-calibrated system assures consistent color throughout the process, including printing from any professional lab.
From ultra high resolution Tiffs for offset or web presses to small JPG's customized for your web site, your portraits are delivered in several ready-to-use formats, each with the proper color profile, resolution, and sharpening applied.
5. Guaranteed Results
25 years of experience provides the confidence behind my sterling guarantee: If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your finished portraits, I will retouch until you are completely satisfied, or even re-shoot if necessary. In the unlikely event that no such resolution is possible, you will pay nothing. Period.
